I am planning on building a suppressor later and was wondering what the threads are on the QD YHM FH? Would it be legal (patent infringement?) to use there FH to mount my suppressor? If I were able to tap my suppressor to those threads would it work? Or should i just wait and purchase a suppressor from YHM?

Thanks

The QD thread appears to be 1.032-8 ACME. You will also need to engage the nose of the FH as well - to keep the can centered.

No problem to cut that 1.03-8 ACME thread, but I think you'd be nuts to do that with a tap. A tap doesn't provide any alignment to the hole. Much much much better to cut it on a lathe. It would take all of 10 minutes, setup to cleanup.

The inside of the mount has a very close tolerance to the flash hider section.
