The mount was changed a little to accomadate the smith vortex.It is suppose to be a little lighter also.

So when do they come out? I was shopping for a Halo, but will wait for a Vortex combatable version.

Will the Vortex need to be installed any differently then how Smith Enterprises suggests? Does a crush or peel washer need to be added?

Don't use any washer. Simply torque it against the shoulder on the barrel. There is no need for either a crush (very bad for suppressors) or peel washer, as there is no need to clock the SEI Vortek flash hider.
