| I'm getting ready to put my SPR together in a couple days and I plan on getting a 5.56 can for the SPR and a SBR. In regards to the suppressor I don't have a clue on wich one to get so I don't know if it will be a break attachment or a racheting QD type. Can I put either one on after I build or should the bbl's be sent off to have the mount placed on? As to the suppresor can one work for both, I don't want to get a SPR can only and a additional one for a SBR if possible. Whats better a brake like the OPS or one of the other styles? Give suggestions on the suppressor also, I don't mind spending the money to get a quality/top shelf suppressor. Thanks |

Well you can:
1. Get an OPS 12th Model for the SPR, and get a 12.5" bbl it will work on that (if the bbl is countoured correctly0 2. Get and OPS 16th Model (goes over the bbl a shorter distance than the 12th, but has the same ammount of baffles as the 12th), and get a 12.5 (maybe even an 11.5" bbl?) 2. Get an AAC SPR/M4 for the SPR and a 12.5" bbl for it also. |

If you're looking at getting one can for both rifles, I reccomend the ops 16th. I know mark (bookhound on here) at polite society inc has mounts that don't require the contour in the barrel, just give him a call or check out his site.
I coundn't decide on a can, so he took a friend and myself out and we shot the following: M4-1000, M4-2000, SPR/M4, 16th model, amd the 7.62-SD on AR15s. Out of all of them, I thought that the 16 model was a little quieter than the SPR/M4 followed by the M4-2000, and I thought that the m4-1000 and 7.62SD sounded the same. I bought the 16th because it was a little cheaper than the SPR/M4, sounded better (to me) and had significantly less blow back than the SPR/M4 (the crud back in my face) Hope that helps. |
