I have several host weapons that I would like to move a suppressor between, an XD tactical in .45 with a threaded Bar-Sto, a beretta CX4 in .40 (plan on SBRing), Sistema , and I may take the factory XD barrel and fit it to a compact and have it threaded.
My local dealer ( where I got the XD ) has a YHM Cobra available. I have actually fired it on the XD in a small room (16X8 approx) without hearing prot. and it did not ring my ears dry or wet. I found it a bit heavy but it is priced quite nicely. My question is this...should I get it or are other brands better suited to what I intend on using it for? Thoughts? Wes |

I do like it but being for 45 and crossing to 40 and several different hosts I was just wondering if there was a better device to fit my usage. I read all of the type about boostered vs. non boostered and etc. I have no desire for 9mm so taming the most difficult round to tame I just want what will work best.
If the Cobra is it then that is what I will get. Just want a little info to support the correct decision so I don't end up sticking it in the EE in 6 or so months. Wes |
| Please dont be one of these guys that has to call the atf every week to see what the status of there transfer is. I am sure I am not alone when I say this.So on behalf of everyone that agrees with me THANK YOU. Not sayin you are one of these guys. Just tryin to cover some bases as the atf,I suspect is overwhelmed with transfers right now. Maybe one call after 3 or 4 months is ok.(not trying to set guidelines).I personally have never called them. The only time I ever even talked to them was when they had a question on some of my paperwork. I really dont even know what posessed me to post this. All I can say is I am a person that speaks my mind and this for one reason or another came to mind. |
