If I were to purchase 2 suppressors and an SBR from the same dealer––do I have to submit 2 finger print cards with each Form 4, or will BATFE process the forms together with 1 set (in other words––2) finger print cards? I thought it was one set per Form 4––so 3 Form 4s mean 6 finger print cards, but my local LEO says he thinks I only need 1 set of 2––that covers the background check.

Can anyone answer this? Otherwise, I'll call BATFE tomorrow.

Thanks

I don't think anyone really knows.  I would send a pair with each form just to be safe.

I recently sent in 3 form 4s at the same time and I called the BATFE and asked that exact question. They told me you "should" send a complete set of paperwork, including two fingerprint cards, with each application in case they want to split up your forms between different examiners due to workloads. I thought it was ridiculous but complied. I have heard that it has worked before with only one set but why take the chance. I even sent 3 separate checks too. With as busy as they are right now and are only getting busier, they last thing I wanted to do is do anything that could possibly slow them down anymore. I'd like to get my cans back before the new Prez gets in.

Thanks––I figured on erring on the side of caution, and plan to send 2 cards with each application, a seperate check, etc.

BATFE said, in theory, only 1 set is needed, but.....The check will probably be done by difference people. So I might get everything done––or I might get a notice saying I need to send fingerprint cards.

Ah, the .gov....
