Is the OPS INC suppressor held onto the barrel by just the threaded collar? The reason I ask is I want to use one on an SBR, which will be fired only with the can in place. If the collar is all that is required for attachment, is there a reason for the standard threading on the barrel end, or just machining to allow for collar installation. I don't plan on adding a brake or FH to this barrel.
Edited to add, I see the collar is  not the threaded part, the barrel needs to be threaded to add a brake or FH as this piece has the threads onto which the can attaches.

You will need a minimum of 2.15" if barrel in front of the gas block to mount an Ops Inc suppressor.(11.5" barrel).

The brake has a removable protector- the silencer threads onto that.  it then pushes against the collar, centering it and putting that portion of the barrel in tension- hence "tension mount."

Sorry, Ron, had to 'splain some things to him.

Ron,
If you're familiar with the Noveske barrels could you recommend which to use for an Ops 16th model, 11.5 or 12.5 inch, as far as which one would add the least amount to weapon length and fit closest to the front sight.
Thanks
