I'm going to put a SWR can on my 10.5" SBR.  it will basically be a dedicated suppressor on that host as I'm looking at another can to move around on other rifles.
given that, which do you suggest and/or have experience with?
(pics would be great)

Wolverine
SpecWar

I'm not using the rifle in employment, but rather just for fun, so super duper high speed low drag, etc isnt crucial.  but suppression for size is the concern.

TIA!

here's the rifle, sorry for the shitty camera phone pic:

The old Specwar I shot was heavy, but sounded good to me.

Not sure when their new Specwar is due out though.

I've never been a big fan of thread mount cans either.

I have heard the wolverine and I personally think it's the perfect can for a 10.5 gun.  I wish I had one on my 10.5 gun.  I will probably have one in the future.

The reason I feel this way is that for an SBR I value compactness and efficiency over maximum sound reduction -- if I wanted super quiet, I wouldn't be running a 10.5.  What I look for in an SBR can is something that will "take the edge off."  The Wolverine fits the bill perfectly, IMO.

I would wait for the NEW SPECWAR & NEW Wolverine to come out, and then decide.

I emailed Henry about this very thing earlier this week. So far I haven't seen anything back.

I don't know whether he is on vacation, busy, or just tired of me bugging him.

All I know is that I need a SWR QD .223 can now.

I have been asking about the SpecWar 2 for the last 6 months, no answers...

Based on Trident , Spectre and others (I like my QD3K), I suspect the SpecWar 2 will be worth waiting for...

The A2-RA will be ready soon. It mounts directly to a standard A2 flash suppressor using a SWR licensed version of the patent pending SAI Lock & Twist mount. We will have more info on it once production begins later this month.

The new Specwars will be along later. I'm not able to give any design details at this point.

The SpecWar will most likely be my next suppressor.

BTW, your customer service rocks. Thanks again.

I love my SpecWar2, but I'm planning on a SpecWar3 for the 10.5" MRP and dedicating this one to my 14.5".

There's just something about the the balance of the midlength gas sytem, the 14.5" barrel length and the SpecWar2 that makes this particular rifle really really quiet.
My 14.5" A2 carbine shot right next to it with the suppressor mounted seems significantly louder, and sharper, with the same M855.

interesting info.  thanks for the input.  I have a 14.5 with perm attached FH on it.  could swap over for a QA or something I suppose.
exploring options is one of the fun parts, right?
