Still waiting on my first Form 4 to get back.....just returned all my paperwork to the dealer on 08-07-08.  In the meantime, I was thinking of different host that I could configure to use with it.  This may be a dumb question to all you suppressor gurues, but could I thread the Outback II to my standard AR-15 bbl if I remove the A2 and run a ceiner 22 conversion kit?  If possible, this would give me a chance to suppress a rifle until I can trick out a 10/22 or get a threaded bbl for my GSG5..................anyways, thanks for the replys in advance.

Go for it. You'll probably need to shim it up a little as the threads on AR's are longer than those one most .22's. You don't necessarily have to, but you're placing the muzzle closer to the blast baffle than it's supposed to be. Your best bet would be to ask either PHD or Kel what their recommendation would be.

You will definitely need to make/use a shim about 2/10 inch long. The AR barrel has 0.6 inches of threads, but you must not mount the Outback on a barrel with more than 0.4 inch of threads because:

1. You will bottom out on the blast baffle and not against the alignment shoulder at the rear of the threads.

2. You will have free threads in the entrance chamber which will cake with carbon, making unscrewing the suppressor almost impossible.
