Will a Gemtech Outback II screw directly onto my factory threaded P22 or do i need to do anything different with the threads? I saw a 1/2x28 suppressor adapter for the Walther P22 on Gemtechs website. Do i need it?

The threaded portion of the barrel is inside the slide when the gun's cocked.  You have to use an adapter to add length to the barrel and provide the right thread for the can (1/2 x 28).

There are several manufacturers of P22 adapters - HotRod9mm on this board, Gemtech, and Tactical Innovations are three that I know of.

Add AAC and TROS-USA to that list of folks who make P22 adapters.
