I'm looking for a .30 cal can to put on my various 7.62mm rifles. My list so far is either the Gemtech HVT or the YHM Phantom. My criteria is basically this: I need something that works on a quick detach system so that I can easily move it from rifle to rifle without also having to monkey around with adding/removing a flash hider. So, this eliminates threaded cans.

What other supressors are out there that use a QD-type system? I really wish the SWR Omega did, since I really like the quality of their work (I have other cans from them), but it seems it is only available threaded.

Ideas?

I really like my SAS can.  Great quality and customer service for the price.  Give Tim a call...he loves to talk cans.

Here's mine.  It's not QD but he does have them.

I'm not a fan of the Gemtech HVT simply because I really dislike the bi-lock mount. That's it, I like the can otherwise though. The YHM mount isn't bad though and the can is worthy of consideration.

Other options include:

-Ops Inc 7.62 12th Model
-AAC 7.62SD
-AAC SCAR-H

I can't think of any others off the top of my head. I like all 3 of the above, it's just a matter of picking what you like. I've evaluated the SCAR-H and will be evaluating in the not too distant future the 12th Model. I've got plenty of time with the 7.62SD and would recommend them also.

I like the YHM a lot.  Good mount with quick threading ACME threads.  Quiet.

It's a little heavy at 25oz, but it does the job well from the bench or prone.

Their customer service is flawless too.  Steve and Nate are great guys to deal with on cans.

For my SBR AR-10, I ordered the Surefire FA762K as it comes in at 19oz.

Ops Inc, Surefire, AAC, Gemtech, Jet, Shark, SWR and many others all make good .308 cans.

I say look into the SAS can too. Tim is a good guy, makes a good product and stands behind it too!

I love mine...

Another bump for SAS cans.
I was looking for an entry level can that I could use on as many weapon platforms as possible.
Got one of the SAS .30 caliber cans and a QD mount for the AR and FAL.
I haven't got any other cans in this genre to compare it too, but I am completely satisfied with my purchase and will likely buy another from him when I go SBR on my NVHTF lower.
