i have a m4-1k and i am shooting it on a 16" i was wondering if i upgraded to an SPR if i could use it on the 16 and be quietr and more accurate, but at the same time my 10.5" back-up can i use it on it as well? i don't regularly run a can on ti but i don't want a silencer that isn't interhcangable among my rifles, however i'd like to have the SPR mounting system on my longer rifle.

The 10.5" is too short for the SPR mount. You should still get it as it's a great can, but you'll just be forced to build another upper with at least a 12.5" barrel.

That is not true.  An 11.5" barrel will work with the SPR, but you MUST use an appropriately short gas block.  You cannot use a normal FSB or many of the larger gas blocks on the market.
