goin to send my paperwork off today, i handled the m41000 im goin for and i look in where the QD goes in and there is a dent right where the hole in the silencer is... i know nothing about these things, is this nornal?

this thing is supposed to be brand new,

also, the qd flash hider is a Yankee hill,    is that normal for an m41000 and if it isnt standard, will it still work??

thanks guys

The "dent" on the baffles are normal.  It helps disturb the gas flow.
The QD mount is marked YHM because AAC licensed the flash hider design from YHM and as part of that agreement has their mark stamped on the part.

The dent should look like a perfectly cut little half ice cream scoop on one side of the bore hole.

ive been looking in mine and quite curious, are there only 3 baffels? and the blast chamber looks huge is this space average in the can world, i have been designing a can for form 1 but i hadn't left that much room for expansion.

Expansion, I believe the larger expansion area was to reduce the amount of gas blowback on AR/M16 type firearms.

Yes, the M41000/2000 cans have only three baffles.  All the technology in those cans is in the spacing.  The baffles are incredibly simple and "old" tech.

i thought the baffle is the new thing on 'new designs' i know nothing about spacers, but i know that m42000 has 3 k-baffle , i didn't know that only spacers are the only change on new cans, that's cool,

The M42000 doesn't use K baffles.  The baffle technology inside an M4200 is nothing new, in fact it can be directly traced back more than 60 years.  The only high tech part of that can is the spacing between the baffles which are nothing more technical than simple cones.

Just goes to show how hype has overtaken substance.

3 baffles and Elfen magic, they always forget about the Elfen magic.

best baffle 60 years ago was maxim design + conical spacer = k-baffle
