Well, mine's one of the newer & quieter ones and I'm wondering how quiet it's gonna be.  Back yard in town quiet with 147gr?  Backyard quiet with lawnmower on only?  Just curious and anxious.  It's going on a 92FS, bought both the thread mount and the lcd by the way.

People familiar with guns might recognize it if you shot a bunch of times, or the bullet ricochets and makes that distinctive whizzzzzzz sound.

Otherwise, they are damn quiet, especially with loads like Special-K, or the handloaded equivalent.

???  Please explain more.  I just got one from SWR.  I'm guessing it's the "newer" one since it just shipped this past Monday.

Yours is one of the newer ones if it just shipped.  They redesigned the baffle stack in these to make it quiter with the LCD.

You can listen to it being fired on my website.

Yeah, if yours just shipped, it's one of the new ones.  The new ones have a serial # over the 186 mark if I remember right. Mine's in the 260's.  Supposed to meter quieter on a handgun now than the Evo 9 which is pretty remarkable.

I've got a 170 range Trident 9 and it is pretty damn quite.  I shoot it mostly on a 5" barrel AR15.  But also use it on a Sig P226 with the LCD.  I'm happy with that too.

on my G17 (with 3.4grn bullseye handloads) it's as quiet as my supressed P22

With 147g it sounds like a pneumatic nail gun.

Yep.  That's exactly how I describe it to people.  Throw a little water in the can and it is even quieter!  9mm and .22lr cans are so much fun!
