I am very new to the world of suppressors and I had one quick question.  I was looking through the suppressor pics on handguns and saw a P22 with a 9mm suppressor with an adapter.  I was wanting to purchase a 22 can for my P22, but after seeing this picture it raised my eyebrow.  Is this possible?  If so, how effective is the suppression of sound?  And if so, where can you purchase the adapter?

Thanks, sorry about the newbie question.

The 9mm and .22 are both threaded 1/2x28".  The suppression is okay.  Not as good as a dedicated can, but it works.  It isn't a good idea in general, but it will work.

I would think occasional use of a 9mm can on a 22 would be OK, although not nearly as quiet as a dedicated can. Like maybe putting one on a bolt action 22 rifle for a little shooting. Use with semi auto handguns or something like a 22 kit/AR where there's lots of rapid fire and high round counts would probably be a bad idea.
