Clippen. To my ears, the Trident was quieter, both compared using same ammo on the same g19. The can also felt lighter than the evo. The can is also more compact on my beretta. At the time I bought it, I was aware of no 3 lug mount for my 9mm sbr(evo). Finally the price point was better. That's just my $.02 and the reasons I went with the trident over the evo. |
June 2. I am working on the specifics now, and if anyone wants to come watch the trials, let me know. For those that dont know what I am talking about... From www.silencerresearch.com

I voted for the Trident 9, because that is what I have. I realize that my choice is bias, but I am really happy with its performance on both my G17 and my 5" Tros barreled SBR. I also have first hand experience with a Trinity, and while it is a good can, the Trident was better in sound reduction, atleast to my ears it was. I have zero experience with an Evo 9. My $.02 |
+1, Best for what? I've got a Trinity and Trident. I like the Trinity better for the 9mm Beretta (I also don't use a booster on my Beretta w/ the Trinity) due to its smaller diameter than the Trident. I like the Trident for light-medium duty SMG use because of its light weight, short length and stainless blast baffle. For heavy SMG use (doing drum dumps and some SMG matches) my favorite is the Gemtech MK9K for its large volume. It doesn't get as hot as fast as the Trident or Trinity and I like the way it sounds over everything else. |

I like my Matrix for my 92fs and 22 mosquito use and am insulted that my choice wasn't listed! (just kidding :-p I've no experience with the SWR, I've played with Trinity & Evo9, both were nice, but too big for my mall ninja requirements. Gotta be sneaky, ya see. |
