Hy HK USP tactical will only cycle correctly about 20% of the time with the blackside on

I’m having issues with the spend brass not ejecting about 80% of the time when running the blackside. The spent brass gets caught between the barrel and slide as the next round tried to load. So the brass gets pulled from the barrel, but doesn’t have enough push to flick it out. So most of the time after a shot the slide is jammed mostly open with spent brass blocking it from closing.

Today at the range ~150 rounds w/o the blackside it ran without any problems. Then ~150 rounds with the blackside it ran about 20% of the time without any problems. The ammo used was Federal 230gr FMJ and MFS 230gr HP.

My HK USP was purchased new by me in 2006 with about 1200 rounds down the pipe. Without the blackside it throw the brass about 15’ to the right and 2-3’ behind. I’ve never has an issue with the HK not working ever. It’s been 100% reliable up to this point where I tried to use it with the blackside.

After spending $550 for the blackside and $200 for the stamp I feel stupid that this cool new toy of mine can’t be shown off to my friends because it won’t cycle my HK most of the time.

If you are shooting it wet to make it quiet, maybe you are putting too much wet in it, adding more weight than the system can work with.  Does it get better as you work your way through the magazine and you blow some wet out?

If you are shooting it dry, then I have no opinion.

I bought my Tactical new also.
So far, I've only had 2 stovepipes out of about 400 rounds.
And those two were probably in the first 150 rounds.
I've got one of the first Blacksides released to the public.
I don't know if it made a difference or not but I left the slide open in the safe when I got it home till I first shot it.
