Doing a little research before I buy.  Which manufacturers make a Reflex can for 223?

Reflex silencer is kind of a term for european silencers, what is it you want exactly?

ops, surefire, and aac have models that slide back over the barrel, they might be as close as you get in the states

No clue.  I just put it on the rifle tonight.  I'll be shooting it soon enough though!

So far I'm very impressed with the mounting system on it.  The can only added like 4.5" past the brake.  Feel of it on the weapon is nice.

Holy shit, the 16th is freaking huge.

Actually, it is not.  Kinda looks that way in the picture though I do agree.

Here is a picture of a 2006 M4-2000 (left), an Ops Inc 12th model and the Ops 16th.

The 16th only added 4.5" to the host weapon.  The M4-2000 added just a hair over that (but that was last year's model; to be fair the newer M4-2000 will add just a bit less than the 16th model).

True, it goes back over the barrel what, 2.5 inches? Reflex has a big advantage in that aspect. It also helps that OPS cans are relatively light for their lenght.

I want OAL to be as small as possible without giving up too much db reduction.  Suggestions?

Thanks!

Easy solution, shorten the barrel and buy a silencer with good sound reduction and have both.  Short and Quiet

Already have the short barrel (actually, pending f4).  I was hoping to keep as short as possible.

Thanks!

Their website doesn't list the 16th, and doesn't list prices.  Where can I find info on the 16th, and what is the approx. cost?

Thanks!

Also going with the kind of silencer that mounts back over the barrel means you need a longer barrel. The kind of silencer that threads 1 point mount, can be as short as right up against the sight tower/gas block.

So your overall package does not get shorter and your silencer is not a quiet with a reflex.

Absolutely.  And with the BR Toute/Reflex type there is no option for quick-detach mount.  I switched from 16" with BR TOute can to 11.5" with QD ASE can and am happier with the same length gun.  The gun is no less accurate either.
