Hi all, I just purchased a gemtech trinity and i wanted to say that it is a nice and quiet can.  Every board i read said it was too loud?  I am happy with mine.  It just sounds like a woosh of air and then the thud of the bullet on the backstop.  Can't be much louder than a .22 unsuppressed, assuming sub sonic.  The only reason i'm posting this is because everywhere i read, they all said it was a crappy can.  If this is truly a loud can, i can only imagine how quiet an aac evo 9 is---it must be hollywood quiet (everyone raves about it).  Well anyhow, i guess at some point i'll invest in an evo 9 just to see how much different they are.  Oh, i was shooting my can on a g19 with a lwd threaded barrel and on a bw5 with the 3 lug adapter.  They both ran great, no failures at all but poa / poi was a little high in the bw5 about an inch at 25yrds.  I was using 147g subsonic ammo.

I love mine.  I have my can mounted on a M9 and couldn't be more pleased with the suppression and versatility.

I'm another happy owner.  If an Evo9 is really that much quieter, it must me amazing.

I'm very happy with mine as well. I run it on my BW5, Colt 9mm AR, Beretta 92 and my Glock 19. Plus the customer service at Gemtech is top notch.

I have shot a Trinity next to an Evo 9... Trinity is terrible in comparison.

Evo 9 is close to a suppressed .22LR.

To my ears, the Evo 9 on my Glock 19 is close to the same sound as a Tac 65 / Outback II on my Ruger 10/22.  Obviously the 9mm is a little louder, but not much.

All of the above is my personal opinion based on firing them... not looking at charts.

At a very minimum the 9mm can will be at least 4 times louder, perhaps more.  They are not comparable in any way.  The difference is night and day, unless you are shooting the 9mm wet.
