Do you mean an adaptor that threads onto a barrel so it has a 3 lug?  9mm barrels are often threaded .5 x 36 but some are .5 x 28.

NO>>>>

The gem tech hk3 lug mount screws directly into the back of the trinity suppressor....

I had a form 1 can that has the back machined to accept the hk 3 lug adaptor, just like a rinity suppressor...

Last year the original 3 lug mount mde by gem tech screwed in like silk....

I got a replacement one today, and it doesnt fit......

Nothing cvhanged on my part, because it sat in a drawer for a year, and was machined from stainless....

The gem tech part doesnt fit....not sure why?  I cant imagine they changed threads per inch......

OK, I bought a Gem tech HK 3 lug mount in 2006, and had a mount machined for it to screw into.  Fit like a glove.  Sold the hk 3 lug mount, and regreted it ever since.  So I buy a new one and it gets here today.  It has a different thread pitch, and no longer screws in....

Any ideas why they would change the thread pitch, or did I get a defect part....

Tried calling gemtech, but no answer...left a message.

I'm not totally certain which part you are addressing. If you mean the 3-lug mounting adapter that screws into the Trinity, there has been no thread size or pitch change. If this is the case, send us the suppressor and mount, and I will make sure it fits properly.

That's strange.  Darkhelmet will probably show up soon to help.  He was helpful in answering some of my questions.

Edit...or PHD.

Phil,

Nevermind... I just chucked it up, and bufed the threads a few thous down... Might have been the thickness of the anodized coating......

Nothing to see here folks... move along....

When it comes to machine work PHD is definately our in house expert. He's got a good 30 years of experience over me. I'm not a metal cutter by trade but I worked in a machine shop running manual and CNC milling machines and lathes during the summers in college.

I bring more of my Operations Management background as well as my previous professional work with Federal law enforcement (white collar crime) to the Gemtech team.
