I like the pistol a lot, I shot it a bit before sending it to SRT for threading/sleeving. I shot the gun today with 115gr, and it wasn't cycling, I'll try it again once I get some 147gr. Other thing beind the lug on the barrel which is removable for cleaning, would unscrew slightly during firing. I've got to get a wrench for it as well. I was just shooting for function today. Gotta get some subsonic. |

Well, now that I can reply... Yes, Doug is a great guy and went out of his way to fix the "threaded barrel" my 92fs came with. The last guy had it threaded back behind the face of the slide which is obviously too far. Instead of telling me "well, you're screwed buddy!" he offered to fix it. He did fix it and I tested it out when I filled out the paperword at my C3 dealer's house. That can is sweet even with Fiocchi 147gr. which is supersonic. That sucker got too hot to touch after 45 rounds of fairly slow fired ammo. The baffle stack is indeed very interesting. I can't wait to get it (of course) and test it with water or some other ablative. I was a little unhappy the inside of the front isn't coated to match the outside. The front baffle or whatever you call it at that point is very noticable from the front. Also, from what Silvers tells me, it's not anodized and really should be. It's something that could have easily been done and might save a lot of headaches in the future. I also have to add that these pictures don't give the Matrix9 credit- it looks so much better on a real Beretta like my 92fs!

Anodizing isn't a color change, it is a surface oxidation treatment that builds up the normal aluminum oxidation layer to much thicker depths; maybe 2-3 thousandths of an inch Anodizing is clear. Only if you put the anodized part in a dye, does it take on a color, black, blue, red, yellow, whatever color you want. Doug |

Please don't get on me about Mr. S. I said nothing that he'd need to defend. And as far as what he did tell me, I'm not worried. The innards of my can will be coated with burnt and unburnt powder long before it will even have a chance to be exposed to any elements. It will probably be shot wet and then cleaned out with WD40 so I would never have a reason to worry anyway. Doug- I wasn't complaining. Sorry if it seemed that way. I plan on burning off all of the finish anyway
