Looking for some feedback on the Evolution .40
Thanks

Its performance is closer to an Evo-9 than an Evo-45. Same as an Evo-9 in quality, etc.

Having never heard them fired side by side, is the .40 noticeably louder to the human ear than the 9mm when supressed using these cans?

When fired side by side, I could hear the 40 as louder. To me it sounded like most 9mm cans, but not as quiet as the Evo-9. I found the .40 satisfying. I do not find current .45 cans satisfying when dry but the Evo-40 was.

do you think with further ammo development, a .40 could approach the sound signature of a 9mm?  I know lots of load development went into subsonic 9mm loads designed specifically for supressed use, like Special K, do you think that the .40 could benefit much from this?  it is possible to get up to 220 grain bullets for a .40, so in my opinion a suppressed .40 pushing a 220gn bullet at 1000 fps is a bit more comforting than a .35 caliber 147gn bullet moving at the same speed.

A 40 never be as quiet because the bore hole is larger. I don't really like Special-K. I have personally seen a round from it fly into the ground because they were undercharged. I like using Winchester, Remington, Federal, etc.
