I've seen and heard some ideas. Some say cleaning is pointless and stupid. In a rifle caliber, i can understand that. but my question is moreso for a .22 can. It's a TAC-65. Normally i jsut soak in Ed's Red for a few days, shake it out, and shoot. Works great.

However, coming up on 5k+ rounds, it's starting to lead up pretty good. What is recommended for removing lead build up from a .22 can? I've heard that bead blasting works great, but some swear against it. What about putting the baffles in a brass tumbler? surely the corn cob isn't going to mess anything up. but i don't know if it will do anything. I've heard of the vinegar and peroxide, but it will eat aluminum.

I will be tough to get apart after 5000 rounds, really tough if most of it was full auto.
