I don't see it either.  My money is on Carbine_Man's assesment.

A good portion of their web page is taken-up by propaganda for local Humane Societies.  They even have pictures and videos on the front page.  What is it about local news stations and Humane Societies.  The three local evening news programs, I sometimes watch, spend a lot of time begging for money for them.  I guess rather than working to present a real news story, it's easier to show some cute animals.  It must help with their rating with soccer moms or something.z
