Would someone enlighten me an explain to me maybe with pics what these feeds ramps are and the purpose? Thanks.

Basically the Colt M4 uppers continue the barrel extension feedramps into the receiver itself to aid in full auto fire reliability (just cosmetics on a semi only weapon.) Do a search - I'm sure someone has posted a pic within the last month or so.

m4 feed ramps are cut not only in the upper but the barrel extension as well, thus creating more positive feeding for various bullet profiles. and offers benefits in semi also.
