For what it's worth, I bought 2,700 rounds of that South African ammo and it is VERY good. I just recently bought my first AR (Bushmaster Dissipator) and have been shooting every kind of ammo I can find to see "what works" and "what don't". I have found that the ammo in those South African battle packs is really good stuff. I had a friend pick me up a 2,700 round plastic "tub" (9 sealed packs of 300 rounds each) at a gun show for $370

that seems to be the going rate. Eric at ammoman is selling 2700 for $375 but I will point out that that is a delivered price and no sales tax.

Just curious,

Ammoman's quoted price is $145/1000, and the battle packs are 300 rounds each (10 30-rnd boxes).

I presume he does not ship 3 battlepacks, 3 boxes, and 10 loose rounds, so what is the actual deal?
