On one of the hunting forums I saw a post with a
picture of a man that had shot a coyote with an AR chambered in 17 caliber.
Can anyone give me information as to which manufacturer or custom manufacturer that chambers an AR in 17 caliber?

IT&D  Custom Gun in Minerva Ohio would probably barrel and chamber a .17 for you.

That's a great still air 100yrd ctg. But you push it with any wind at all and it's all over the place.

I got my barrel in .17 from Hesse still have not built it up yet. Bull barrel for $100 would not ever order anything from them again though. Kurt from KKF said there should be no problem in feeding so one of these days i'll put it all together

I built this .17 Remington for a customer about a month ago.  I has a 24" stainless Pac-Nor Super Match barrel on it.

There isn't a drooling smiley, so here's this.

So, the .17 Remington is powerful enough to "shoot pool" with?

hey waldo! i know dave...and i'm from MINERVA!!

better yet, remington built a limited run of 300 pieces...a 700 limited edition .17 rem. for 2001. a dealer bud of mine still has one in spatter synthetic (funky!) with all stainless parts.

.17 rem is a great chuck buster out to 150 yards...but i prefer .22 cheetah, myself. as waldo says, doping the wind is a high art form with .17.

merle, how's it going sir?!?!

This brings up an interesting topic. What other calibers can an AR be chambered for that will still feed from unmodified mags?
