No ads for guns in GunTests. Personally I read the same review, and I think I would have still picked the cheaper Bushmaster. I don't think the lighter gun is worth the increased price. Gun Tests is a great source for gun review info, I think it is well worth the subscription price.

| My Carbon 15 type 97 has been a great gun thus far and reliable. I get about 2" grps @ 100yds with red dot optics. Guess I am just lucky. But I like my Bushmaster Xm15 W/20" barrel and AK muzzle brake the best because it is more accurate out to 300yds and feels more like it has some durability built into the Mil spec design. My wife perfers the Carbon 15, so I consider it to be Her gun. |

I don't trust what I read in Gun Tests magazine. They shoot one gun and try to do an honest review of it. If they just happened to get a factory lemon, the whole review is flawed. If they start testing a larger sample size than 1, I might read it. I think this is a case of the writer's hearts being in the right place (honest reviews without the BS), but they are not doing it accurately (not that any other gun mag does). The best subscription I've ever had is Shotgun News. |
