Okay guys, My M48 shoots really nice tight 100 yard groups about 6 inches high, and about 6 inches to the right. Since the min setting for the rear sight is 200 yards, I am not worried about the elevation, but is there any way at all to adjust for windage on a Mauser without just having to hold a little to the left? |

Re: my earlier suggestion about filing the front sight to change the windage. It occurs to me that this would work if the sight a post type (patridge?) like most handguns. However, all Mauser 98 front sights that I’ve seen are triangular – filing on one side of them would change both the windage and the elevation. Maybe not such a great idea after all! Incidentally, Brownells had a post type Mauser front sight that might fit your rifle. The sight is oversize; you could auger it down to anything you wanted. |

The MOJO is great. I put one on my M-48 and you can zero for 100 yards plus be able to adjust windage with the rear sight. At about $35 its worth every penny. Brownell's sells them or you can buy direct from MOJO. If you don't want the MOJO, Brownells also sells a higher front sight for mausers that will bring POI down so that you can zero at 100. GO FOR THE MOJO! |
