Need to buy 5 slings for this summer's builds.
Want to get vtac originals or magpuls.

Best place for deals?

Thanks

Sign up for emails at BFG and wait for a sale if you want Vickers slings.  It's not uncommon for 50% off sale on select models / colors.

Ditto.

I have two VCAS slings, both for less than 50% off.

I have one of the the slings below from botach. It arrived quick and seems very well made and functional for the price. No issues with my order at all. I like mine. It was more than long enough, so I trimmed down the excess length and label I did not need and now have a nice functional sling. They are made in the USA too, and the price is tough to beat.

I was not familiar with these slings before. They are a 2 point sling, with the typical buckle adjustments to thread it onto your sling swivel and set length. But one end also has a metal spring loaded cam buckle. With it, you can quickly pull the free end and "tighten" up the sling. The friction cam holds this length, the tighter you pull, the more the cam grips the webbing. The cam is a lever with a length of cord or webbing like a zipper pull, so when you lift it, it releases the lock on the webbing and you can increase the length easily. Nice simple design that works.

I just got one of those KZ slings on a promo for like 5 bucks a week ago, it works good, have had it out shooting.  Very similar to the vickers.  They sell a bunch that look similar, with different grades of materials.  You want the "seatbelt" quality webbing IIRC.

This is the one I got, I think.

They had a deal where if you spend $50 you get 10% off and free shipping, and I was buying a $45 ALS holster, so it was what I added to get over 50.

I've bought lots of cheap slings over the years and this is wayyyyyyyyyy nicer than all the other cheap slings I've bought.  It works just like a vickers and everything seems solid.  Made in USA.

I'm not saying don't wait for the BFG sales, but since the guy above mentioned the KZ...

Found magpul ms4 slings on sale at primary arms so got them there....... AFTER screwing up royally.

Let's just say I will NEVER buy another proctor sling.

They seemed good in the video and the price point was nice.
One problem: they DO NOT secure to the front of the weapon.  So, now you're left still having to install a sling stud and rail attachment point bringing the price higher than an ms4 at full retail.

Isn't the point of those that you don't need qd or clips? You just loop it around the stock and fsb/handguard hole/etc?

Yeah, that's the point.
Problem is that they make it seem like it provides a secure connection when in fact the first time you take a step, try to transition, or stare too long at the weapon the front loop attachment rides fore or aft or tries to wrap itself around your handguard.
It's not stable.
Maybe it's good for some folks but I'm not shooting from a bench and need a good lockup that doesn't allow my sling position to chang every time I breathe.
