i've had one mounted on my MKII for close to 20yrs.

Older Tasco (marked "Made in Japan") = good value for price.
Newer Tasco (made in China) = not so good to downright junk.

Maybe not high end but I have heard from guys who had them mounted on Contenders who said they held up well.
