What do you guys do for ammo storage?

I am looking for reasonable options to store ammo in. Most are in ammo cans, but I want a place for loaded mags, etc outside of my safe.

Are you guys using storage racks? Liberty ammo can?

Thanks

Really depends on the qty of ammo Bud.  I'm pretty sure that most on this board agree with the use of ammo cans.  Many on this site have had to shop for durable shelving for said ammo cans.....  YMMV

This.  I use the Job boxes/contractor boxes for loaded ammo.  Check on Craigslist.  I got pretty good deals on mine there.

I got lucky and a little remodel job left us with an "extra" unfinished closet. I built some heavy duty shelves, and now it's my ammo locker.

I use a sports locker I got cheap. It's strong, individual lockers allow for easy sorting of ammo types, ventilation keeps moisture buildup to a minimum and allows me to see ammo at a glance, and the whole thing is designed to be locked. All the locks use the same key so access is pretty easy.

I have around 10,000 rounds in the locker on average at any given moment.

Stack-on 2 door locking gun cabinet got converted to ammo storage when I bought my first safe. Over 40K rounds in there, mostly 22LR.

Greenlee gang box, bolted to the floor, full of ammo cans. Can't beat it.

Get some good shelves for your ammo cans. Maybe a wall locker for mags. I've got ammo cans stored in both and under a bed in a spare bedroom.

Have an igloo cooler or similar laying around not being used? See how many loaded magazines you can get it one.

Mil ammo cans (.50cal and/or SAW) with a few dri packets you get from buying shoes.

50 cal and 40mm ammo cans stacked in a closet. I bought a large bag of medium size desiccant packs I put one in each can.
