My friend has a Savage 111 in .270, only about 40 rounds through it. If you draw the bolt to the rear with a round in the chamber it does not eject the round out the side as it is supposed to when the bolt is fully to the rear. The brass just stayed held into the extractor. Visually the extractor looks fine, perhaps there is a spring missing inside the bolt that controls when the round gets thrown out?
