What do you guys know about Rossi quality?
I was at the range today and shot a Rossi a friend of mine got on sale at Wal-mart back around Christmas. It's the rifle that's (I believe) based on the Taurus Judge action. We ran both .410 and some 45 Colt handloads I had through it, and it was a lot of fun to shoot. I wouldn't mind having one but outside of a few rounds today I have no knowledge of Rossi. |

LOL!! You used "Rossie" and "Quality" in the same sentence. Rossie is reallllly hit and miss...sometimes you get one that is just fine......and sometimes.....WOW. I am still trying to find the time to fix my Rossie 62 Pump. Barrel flops around in the receiver and the cartridge carrier tunnel is too tight for most rim fire rims. NOT one of my more brilliant moves. |

I got into Rossi guns in a hap-hazard way. I'd always wanted a companion carbine to compliment my Ruger .44's .
My 1st attempt w/ a Winchester was less than successful as it was the worst firearm I had ever purchased. The Braztech/ Rossi .44 Mag. was better, and w/ some enjoyable work was an absolute joy. I don't know if I've had just good luck, but both the the Rossi guns that I've acquired have responded very well to some minor enjoyable modifications on my part. They are a very viable option as far as lever-guns are concerned. |
