Just curious.. What ever happened to Lazeroni Rifles. Several years ago, every gun mag had another article on these. Curious, good rifles or great PR firm?

I think it was more the hot- for- the- time cartridges like the warbird, etc. I do not recall folks clambering for their rifles on their own merit. That was 15-20 years ago if I remember correctly.

Boddington used to write about the Lazeroni cartridges in the late '90s

The ultra mags and such came out from the manufacturers.
No need to spend ridiculous $$ for a ridiculous magnumasaurus when you can get it from the manufacturer for a lot less.

IMHO the latest magnum craze has past and with it the large interest in the Lazarroni cartridges. About 5-6 years ago I remember seeing a lot of them on the used gun market. The peak of interest seemed to be about a decade ago.....2003-ish.

Someone around here has one and they are proud of it. They could never tell me how fast the bullet was. If I owned one, I would have my loads chrono's and all.

I think I still have a can of that in the pantry, if the kids haven't eaten it yet.
