I have a gamo 440 pellet rifle with heavy beech wood stock. Is it possible for a gunsmith to use the wood from this rifle and build be a .22 bolt gun?

I like projects, but have you priced out a savage?

I believe it is "possible" to use the wood for anything you like. Do you have a specific .22 rifle you are trying to fit it to?

I just think the stock is too nice and too heavy on an air gun, I haven't really thought about the specifics. I might be better off disassembling it and having a smith see what would fit best?

It's not really about money, it's more about getting better use from this unnecessarily heavy stock
