I love my Remington 700 chambered in 30-06 for deer hunting in WI and usually use 180 or 165 grain Winchester Super X.   This has worked great for me every year, I've taken many deer and with a good shot placement they don't run too far.

But I'm wondering what other loads I should consider for other game and applications?  Target loads, small to medium game, big game (moose, elk, sheep, bear)?   Give me some ideas and reccomendations.

Thanks.

For hunting, Federal Fusion.  They should have several different bullet weights starting at 150gr.  Pick the load depending on what you'll be shooting at.

For plinking, Prvi Partisan FMJ if you can find it.

Nosler Accubond is a good bullet for just about anything.

Sort of an improved, second-gen Partition bullet.  Basically combines the Partition design with the Ballistic tip.

Seems to solve the over-penetration problem Partitions can occasionally have on medium game.

For plinking I use the Nosler/Winchester CT bullets now.  With that coating they put on there you can shoot all day and not spend all weekend scrubbing out copper fouling.
