Looking for a little bit of input.
I just sold a weapon and have 550-600 to spend on a new handgun.  I am in college and cannot get both, and am getting married soon so this will be the last weapon I can afford to buy for awhile. This is a necessity buy, just trying to decide what I need more.
I carry full-size guns, most of the time a government 1911 and sometimes a P226.
However I do not have any weapon to carry when I go running/working out so I would like a G26 or M&P9c, maybe a G27.
I also do not have a .22 pistol, and was looking at 22/45s.
If you could only get one right now which would you get? yes the .22 will let me practice cheap (I have a lot of .22 saved up for my plinker marlin).  But right now I am not armed when running every evening or at the gym.

Being armed while running should take precedence over cheap practice shooting.

Get the BUG now... you can always run across a cheaper .22 semi-auto for plinking down the road.  In other words, get what costs the most NOW... chances of finding a cheap (good deal) .22 I would think are better than finding a cheap (good deal) on something like you mentioned as BUG's.

You sure you'll carry a double stack 9 while being active? Look at a Kahr 9 or Shield if you can find one

Id love a shield but cant find one. kahr, no thanks.  I am going to use either a belly band or one of those tight fitting holster shirts as an undershirt. But being in Texas, the shirt would probably get hot as hell.  belly band will probably be the best best.

thanks for the input guys, I am actively looking for a shield or G26. hopefully I can find someone who wants a sensible price for one.  I will wait on the .22
