| Awesome score. Those pouches sometimes came in blue, contrary to popular belief, and if we can get a better look at marking can probably determine if it's authentic. Sure looks that way though. The mags sure look like MP40 mags to me. They could be of non german origin as some countries used them after the war and other Axis powers during the war. |

Quoted: Quoted: My guess would be Belgian Vigneron mags, they're nearly identical to MP40 mags. You may be on to something, I think they even took MP40 mags. They do. The only issue I see is the OP's mags are not marked and the Vig mags I've seen were marked, but anything is possible with wartime production. |

Thanks for all the info guys. I knew you would post to this thread Osprey Couldn't see any markings on the pouch's. And looked all over the unmarked mags for any type of markings. Will have to look into those Belgian mags a little. Maybe that's what they are. |

FWIW.... Numrich has Vigneron M1/M2 mags (marked VIG M1) in VG to Exc condition for $14.65ea. https://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/717380.htm It may be worth it to you to get one just for comparisons sake. |

The 2 unmarked mags are most likely what is referred to as CIA mags. The agency had 40 mags made for a variety of clandistine operations that used the MP 40.
None of those mags were marked in any way. The pouches are very probably post war mfg. Why? Because there is no loading tool pocket on one of them and the color is not right for the WW 2 blue 40 pouches. Also the bottoms look like a wet sock instead of having a noticeable form to them. I only found one mag pouch photo in a quick look, guess I need to get my 6 or 7 sets out and take photos. Any way compare this pouch to the blue ones shown for form. And enjoy looking at the WW 2 German wire cutters. Sarge Well I guess not, I don't seem to find a way to post photos? |
