Most SKS rifles are not heavy but the yugo 59/66 is heavy due to the wood used in the stock and some added metal for the grenade launcher parts. A norinco SKS is not too heavy. |

The SKS is heavy compared to the AR, but put it in a synthetic stock and it weighs about the same as an AK. |
