How does that rifle balance?  When I had my Yugo I remember that it was very front heavy, and I cannot imagine adding a rail and a scope is going to help that.

It's heavy as hell, but it never wasn't, it'll balance at the gas tube.

Not my cup of tea but interested in a range report.

Why not use this:

It is a rock solid secure mount that doesn't change the balance of the rifle or add a great deal of weight to an already heavy weapon.

Are rails & VFGs on the 922r list or no?

wouldn't matter if they were, for two reasons.

first and foremost, idgaf

Second, and equally important, they are clamped on, not screwed into the metal, so the weapon has not lost it's C&R status.

price on this sucker?

Alos, I know nothing about the SKS, why is it so heavy to begin with? Lots of excess steel in the receiver?

Most SKS rifles are not heavy but the yugo 59/66 is heavy due to the wood used in the stock and some added metal for the grenade launcher parts. A norinco SKS is not too heavy.

I am in agreement. To each their own, but I do not have to like it. IT think it looks like shit.

The mount is about $70.  The SKS is heavy compared to the AR, but put it in a synthetic stock and it weighs about the same as an AK.

The tactical SKS is not for everybody but here is my pre bubbad 54 Tula. Runs like as top and with the red dot you can target with both eyes open.

currently it has a black AFG on the bottom rail for sexyness
