I did some yard work for this old man and as for the payment he gave me this rifle. He said he got it back in the 60s but didn't know what it was. By looking at it, it looks like a older arisaka, but I'm not sure. Please help me out on what it is, caliber, and maybe a guess price. If you need pictures of other locations let me know.

It's not last ditch.


You could probably get a few beater Arisaka's and fix it right.  Might take awhile but Japanese guns seem to be the last WWII types of guns that folks haven't put much effort into.

It's a Type 99 Arisaka. Without seeing the stampings on the left side of the reciever I can tell you no more.
