I have one on my .270 and it has held up fine. My mount broke before my scope messed up - well technically one of the screws on the mount. Scope hasn't ever failed me yet.

I have used a 3X9 on my 30-30 (now used by my daughter) for years. Still works great!

I've got a Simmons ProHunter 4x32 handgun scope on my Mosin Nagant sporter. It's held up fine for the last few years, not nearly as nice as my Leupolds though.

i have one on a 30-40 krag and has held up just fine over the six year's it's been on it.
