I would like to pick up some steel targets.
First question is do I need AR500 or can I get away with 400?
I'll be shooting 5.56, 9mm, 45acp, 22mag, x39 for sure. Would AR400 handle x54r, .30-30, .308 or .338win mag?
How thick do I need? is 3/8" ok?
Mounting holes are a must

I am considering an 8" gong and a 2/3 silhouette. Where's the cheapest place to buy when factoring shipping?

Thanks

You absolutely need AR500 for rifle rounds. At least 3/8" thick for 5.56 and .308 but thicker is better. Not sure how well 3/8" will stand up to .338.

Good deals here: http://www.arntzentargets.com/

I've bought an 8" plate and 2/3 IPSC target from them a few years ago.

I found a 10" AR500 circle with two holes drilled for mounting for $51 shipped. Good deal?

HERE REAL low prices and shipping. I have 3 targets from this place. They are as good as bigdog steel targets.
