How do you like my XCR with the ACR stock and the Surefire 60 rd mag?  C'mon now...you AR lovers like the looks  of this, don't you...admit it. Looks pretty bad, doesn't it.

It's not the 'XCR' part that holds me back.. it's the 'Robarm' part.

How do you like the stock adapter?  It's no surprise it came out right after I sold mine.

Does the adapater have the foldeing mechanism or is that part of the stock. I live in a ban state and need a fixed stock but would much prefer the ACR basic stock over the ACE copy on my XCR.

The basic stock wont work with this adapter. When you buy the enhanced stock you have to remove the stock receiver block that normally attaches to the ACR. This adapter has hinges built into it to accommodate the enhanced stock whereas the basic stock doesn't have hinges. You could probably get one and pin it in the open position.

ETA: Here are a few shots of an ACR enhanced stock next to a stock XCR folding hinge. Also, a CAD that I made showing the adapter. My design differs from ezed's (his is superior) but it'll give you an idea of what I'm talking about:

Ahh, gotcha. Wait, so you have a design as well?  Are yours available? Why would you say his is superior?

I started the thread over at the XCR forum with that design seeking assistance in getting it made. Turns out my design would make the stock sit way too high and I didn't have the correct angel on the hinges. Also, his design makes for a smoother transition from the adapter to the receiver of the weapon.

Interesting. Thanks for the explanation. Btw I was told today that we are supposed to be RTB from the UZB mission. just an FYI.
