I inherited a gun that I know nothing about.

It is a bolt action with a rather short barrel.  Seems to have a mauser action.  It has no markings as to indicate caliber.

The only markings are a stylized logo and "CARL GUSTAFS STADS GEVARSFAKTORI"  plus matching serial numbers on all parts.

Anybody know anything about this?  Caliber? Quality (worth keeping or not)? Value?

carl gustav is a manufacturer. They made alot of mausers. M96 rifle, M96/38 carbine, 1894 cavalry carbine. Without a picture we are going to be hard pressed telling what you have or attributing a value to it. For all we know its sportorized and worth almost nothing.

so please take a picture and upload it, you will get better results then trying to describe it to us.

The Model 1894 Mauser was made in 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser round.

Does your carbine look like this?
