tan, if you don't like it stick it in the toaster, turn on, leave it in until it burns.

Tan is unique but that's about all. It stands out from other AR's and will not be confused with every other AR with a rail.  That said...the $200 in savings will get you half way to paying for a good carbine course or pay for the mount on an optic. I'd go with black and recoat later if you really want FDE...that way you get to pick the product to do the job with.  If money isn't an object just get FDE now.

$180 more for a rifle because its tan and not black?

errrr

go black.

I wouldnt buy the tan even if it was $100 CHEAPER.    I prefer black.
