Where can I find some, I got a friend who wants to shoot an old pistol that uses it, I can't remember the name of the revolver but when I looked up the ammunition it was expensive as hell.  can't seem to find new ammo anywhere.

Google is your friend.

32 short colt, > $1.00 per round.

some 20 odd years ago, Navy arms had fiocci of Italy make a batch of around 2 million rounds of 32 short and long rimfire. They originally sold at around $20 a box. since then the price has increased to around $35 to $50 a box(according to GB prices). In any case, any box that you get from the navy arms production is worth its weight in gold cause the last shootable ammo was made circa 1937 or so(according to the old carts of the world I have). It is shootable but not very accurate after 10 rounds or so(black powder buildup and all). Get it while this new(?) production ammo is still available...FWIW

This.

And to boot most of the guns that shot it were not all that great to start out with.
