I've just ordered an Aimpoint ML3
I'm looking for the lowest mount possible and this one seems to be advertised as very low and looks nice:

It is precision machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and finished in hard coat T3 Mil-Spec anodize. It features the patent pending Auto Lock Lever system to accommodate both in spec and out of spec rail systems. Part Number:AD-68L I don't necessarily care about the quick release lever, but I wouldn't mind it. I'm just a little surprised that most of the rings I've found for the Aimpoints are so expensive. Anyone recommend a mount that's very low and pretty cheap? Thanks Shawn |

The absolute lowest is the stock 30mm Aimpoint ring and it's only like $20 to boot. It's not Tactical nor QD by any means but it is looooww. It barely even lets you fit the rubber cover between the sight and rail. http://www.opticsplanet.net/aimpoint-30mm-rings-wide-stainless-camo-or-black.html
