| So I pickup up a '69 manfu model 94. Cleaned it up and its real nice except I have one problem and want to see if anyone might have a good solution. It has to do with the safety that must be engage by the lever in order to be able to fie. I am speaking about the one where if the lever is not closed all the way (i.e. bolt is not locked) the trigger can not be pulled. The problem I have is that if you cock the gun, it will engage. If you happen to squeeze the lever to the stock thereby disengageing the safety, but then stop squeezing, the safety stays disengaged and you can still fire the gun. Seems to me that the spring that operates the safety does not have enough force to push the lever "back up". I tried bending it, but that did not fix it. Anyone have any ideas? |
