I just bought a VZ-58 this weekend and I took it to the range this morning and fired 30rds through it and then took the rifle apart to inspect the innards of the action and noticed a c-clip laying in the bottom of the reciever.. I looked at all the pins and everywhere that it possibly could have come from and nothing is missing??? All the pins are tight and I couldn't get any of them to push out the sides the trigger pin on the right side looks like it might have possibly intended to have one, but this clip I found is too big for that pin anyway.. I am stumped.. I function tested it and everything works as it should and I said the hell with it and fired another magazine through it and it works great, so what the hell is up with that???

Just field stripped mine down to check... Both the trigger & disconnect pins are supposed to have a C clip. The right side of the trigger pin? If so then mine doesn't have one. The c clip is way too big for it I tried to put it there.. I guess I'll have to track down a proper size clip...

Sounds like somebody screwed up & used a wrong sized C clip on the trigger pin of your rifle...either at the factory or some goober salesman at the gunshop was fingerfvcking it, lost the clip & substituted one he had handy, hoping nobody would notice. |
