I'm going to build an AR for the old lady. The local shops have DPMS lowers for 109 and Stag for 130. Stag parts kit runs about 10 bucks more than the DPMS . Is there much difference in the quality . It's going on a Bushmaster upper.

I would go Stag, but only because I love their products.  Very similar in quality, if not the same.

I'd buy the DPMS stuff for a kit build.  I've built 1/2 dozen AR's with DPMS lower parts kits, no issues.  Used a couple of thier lowers too, without issue.  I generally buy any reasonably recognizeable brand product for a build, except for Blackthorne and Olympic.  Mostly DPMS, Model 1 Sales, Delton.

Thanks for the response. The one shop sold out of DPMS , so that settled that. Bought a Stag and a Timberwolf stainless steel LRPK, It was only five bucks more than the Bushy kit. 130+80. Traded straight up for an m-38 Swede.

You traded a $400-500 rifle for $210 in AR parts?  Got any other spare Sweed rifles laying about?

The Swede was fairly worn. The bore graded a 3 and most of the blue was gone. It had seen better days. I only paid 200 for it.
